Biography

A director in opera and theatre, Seta 's work has at its core a strong emphasis in devising & multidisciplinary work. With her company, Link in my Bio Productions, Seta developed and directed Link in my Bio, a new interactive opera, that premiered at Les Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg (TVL)  in December 2024, produced by TVL and Britten Pears Arts. The opera had been developed  as part of enoa’s (European Network of Opera Academies) inaugural Opera Creation Journey. A blueprint of Link in my Bio's working practices to develop new opera, initially focusing on working within communities to develop opera, as well as practical ways of developing and implementing non-traditional scoring, was also undertaken in collaboration with University of Greenwich with additional support from the Arcola Theatre. Prior to enoa, Seta had received ACE funding for R&D to develop the work and partnering with Streatham Space Project, she ran a series of workshops with 4 different schools and a creative team which culminated in material being shared at Streatham Space Project and was followed by an Arcola Lab Residency.

Since 2012, Seta has directed 7 UK premieres with LAO including The Ring of Fire and Anoush (Marylebone Theatre), Fire Ring (Grimeborn, Arcola Theatre) & Davit Bek (Britten Theatre, RCM). LAO works with a community chorus,  the development of which has been an important part of Seta's work with them.
